Rocktober
| Jr at age 10. |
We love love love October!
It is probably our favorite month. Yup, even though school is in session, October still beats any summer month. Why? Because Utah is beautiful in the fall. AND because there are so many great activities for the kids in October: hay rides to ride, corn mazes to get lost in, donuts and cider to feast on at Janae's (hint hint), spooky movies to watch (we just bought Creature From the Black Lagoon), haunted houses to tour, haunted train rides to take, jack-o-lantern pizzas to eat, carmel apples to make, soups to stew, and breads to bake!
And that doesn't even include the costumes and candy!
October is just fantastic in my book.
So my point!
SO LONG SEPTEMBER--don't let the door hit you on your way out.
Hellooooooo October!
PS: Because our kids are getting older, this year one of my decorations is a corkboard with some of their childhood Halloween photos. It's been a riot to look through them. I can't believe how SMALL everyone looks ... even just a few years ago!
Happy Rocktober to you and yours!
Boo!

| Our favorite take and bake pizza--from Deanne's Papa Murphy's in Riverton. She is our favorite person ever ... and this pizza is so funny. |

PS: Here's a recent photo of Elder Meehan, now in his 15th month as a missionary in Indiana. We miss his guts, but we are so thankful he is serving. It's been life-changing and beautiful and hard. Just awesome.

PPS: I'm on day 33 of my health/wellness program. Yayhoo!
SO far I have lowered my blood pressure, dropped one pant size, stopped waking up 3-4 times a night, walked 31 of the 33 days (even with my broken foot in a boot), started lifting weights 3-4 days a week ... and I've lost 9.4lbs. (I am dying that it is not an even 10 pounds. Grrrr.)
And the best part?
Definitely the walk each day.
I never knew how much being outside would make me HAPPY! Well, that and being outside with Harriet-the-dog. She cracks me up.
