Jonas Gets Chopped!

(c) Food Network, 2012.

Well, my original pick to win Survivor, Jonas, was "chopped" last night.

But, I had a feeling this was coming. Maybe not this soon, but soon.

Why?

Well once Colton left the game I worried for Jonas--because I really didn't see Jonas spend any time with Kim, Chelsea, Sabrina, Kay or Michael in the "One World" time in camp (first 8 days of game). (Remember, Jay and Michael were originally in an alliance with Matt and Bill.)

And once the tribes merged last week, Nu Salani (Kim, Sab, Chelsea, Kat, Troy, Jay, Mike) had the majority--with Kim clearly at the helm (Holding an immunity idol in her bikini, ahem.).

So, in my mind, it was going to require A LOT of work for Jonas to gain some strength/staying-power in the game post-merge. (Because once the merge hits, you start looking to vote out players who can win/compete/take votes from jury. And as a result, you keep players like Tarzan and send home players like Jonas. Sad, but true.)

At any rate, I'm sad to see Jonas go. I'm sad for him AND I'm sad for me--because I really wanted to see him fillet a fish on the show!

But on the plus side, our families have now met and we'll definitely be connected as a result of the Survivor adventure.

Translation = I'll never eat "bad" sushi again--because now I've got sushi connections in Utah. Woo hoo!

PS: Please tell me you agree: Jonas should be on Iron Chef America!

Dave, me, Jonas and his sweet wife!

PS:

I usually write more about each episode, but this week I think you should read Dalton Ross' Entertainment Weekly episode recap.

It's hilarious.

Dalton is one of the press members that comes out to location before the game begins and interviews the cast. He's a die-hard fan and I just love him.

PPS:

I was IN HEAVEN when Troy(zan) found the hidden immunity idol AND won individual immunity last night! Troy is a huge Survivor fan. Like me, he auditioned for 10+ years before playing the game. How cool is that?
