My Favorite Things: This Month

This month has been filled with a lot of highs and lows.

In fact, I think life has been more intense for us than normal--which actually makes me laugh (because I'm pretty good and bringing intensity to our lives).

Anyhow, I haven't blogged as much as usual, but I'm thinking that's because there's been sooooooooo much I could/should say. I haven't known where to begin or where to end.

SO, this weekend I just realized I needed to find my camera, take some photos, and start posting regularly again (Now some of you are laughing because "regularly" for you may mean updating a blog quarterly--but for me, "regularly" means daily.).

Because writing the blog really keeps me from losing my marbles. (It's therapeutic for me for some reason.)

With that preface, here goes--My Julie Andrews' Favorite Things this month (a sampling, at least):

No more green room. Phew!

Still my favorite planter (espec. b/c I don't put dirt in it).

Irish Soda Bread. I could eat a whole loaf on a good day. (PS: I make it.)

Temple trip. Best feeling ever.

Andrea and Mary hosted a "shower" for adopting LuLu and Jr. (They collected donations for the Christmas Box House--how cool! And, then LuLu and Jr each got a way cool gift. Jr. loves Legos! THANK YOU Andrea and Mary.)

More Irish Soda Bread. Did I mention . . . whole loaf?

Dimples.

Mini lanterns. $9.99 for this bit of cheer. SO worth it. (Most of Oprah's "Favorite Things" are $200-1000.00. Funny how 10 bucks does the trick for most of us. No offense, Oprah. I bet if I ruled the world I would like $125.00 stationary, too.)

Mas lanterns. (Where is the accent mark on the keyboard?)

Pioneer Woman's Rosemary Rolls. Holy MACK. Dave loves them AND I love making them. (See the bread/carb theme? There better be plenty of bread--homemade bread--at my funeral...ONE DAY. LOL!
Before I learned to make bread, my world was in black and white. NOW, it's technicolor, baby!)

Color-coding the books. Still makes me smile. And, I can totally find books now.

Jonah's ability to repair our car. He changed all of the break and head lights on both cars this weekend. Thanks, J!

Computer time. Who doesn't love 20 minutes of screen time?

Jonah taking this photo of the clouds (which he named by type--love his Science teacher!).

The one room we never ever have to clean. Hint: it's a middle child's room.

Camry doing P's hair.

And LuLu's hair, too (Chase--poor feline. He's a tortured soul. You should see him in a bandana, flower clip, or Dora choanies.)
