A Few of My Favorite Things This Week ...
I think his excitement is half in-jest--because I played Marta in my high school's version of the musical when I was just 8 years old (they cast some kiddos for the younger roles). So there's a good possibility he may be mocking me.
But no matter what, he's into it and it's funny. And it's made me want to post My Favorite Photos This Week:
This photo of the SNOW we received yesterday. (I swear it never snows when my warm-weather family visits ... until the day after they leave. Ugh!)
This photo of the holiday outfit Bam bought for her cat Whitney--and the expression on Whitney's face. Whitney's pretty much against clothing for pets. She thinks it's "just not right." I half agree.
This photo of Elder Meehan's service missionary companion displaying the Advent Calendar we mailed.
This photo Elder Meehan took of Day 1's scripture and small gift from the Advent Calendar.
This photo of a hat an Army Chaplain had embroidered for Elder Meehan (with his initials) out in Indiana. (It's just another example of how kind SO many people are here on Planet E. LOVE IT!)
PS: For those of you who are Survivor fans, I wanted to share that Tina Wesson's (Season 2's winner and the current season's player) son was killed in a tragic car accident yesterday. (Tina's daughter, Katie, is also on this season of Survivor airing right now.).
My heart aches for Tina, Katie and their family.
If you have an extra minute to shoot some love their way, I know it would mean a great deal. It's hard to imagine the pain and loss they are facing. I pray for love and strength for them during this hard time.
