Happy Birthday Zu!
Today our 2nd to youngest daughter turns 9. (Yay!)
And all she wanted for her birthday was SNOW.
And guess what?
It snowed last night.
Yay-hoo!
Happy Birthday Zu. We love you so much.
(Because we were able to adopt our kids, Birthdays seem extra special to me. Not only are we celebrating our kids coming to Planet E--but, we're celebrating another family who changed our lives forever. So, "Happy Zu's Birthday," Amy. We love you and are so grateful for all you've done for our family. XO.)

PS:
Tomorrow's Survivor South Pacific is a doozy. Tribal Council will leave your jaw on the floor. Promise. So, don't miss it!

And here's a sneak peak from tomorrow's Immunity Challenge:
Psst: Who are you rooting for--we've got Edna and Ozzy at Redemption Island, Rick, Sophie, Coach, Albert and Brandon still in the game?

What are you doing this holiday season?
Us?
Oh, the usual ...
decorating cookies,
seeing holiday light displays, and
running across deer on the highway
(not hitting them--seeing them).
Oh, and getting ready for the Survivor Finale.
Woooo hoooo!
Woooo hoooo!
(PS: Did I mention Jeff Probst called me yesterday? True story.
And yes, I recorded the call for posterity.)
And yes, I recorded the call for posterity.)
There's a gingerbread girl under there somewhere.
Our oldest daughter--who I now realize, ate only the legs off her gingerbread men. Huh, what's that about?
Our 2nd oldest daughter.
Our 2nd youngest daughter. (And I know, shameless product placement. Sorry! They don't sponsor the blog. Accidental.)
Our youngest daughter. We are getting ready to celebrate the 2 year anniversary of her adoption in a few days. Her brother's, too!
Our oldest son ... who is less than excited to be decorating Christmas cookies. He'd rather be driving ... anywhere but here. 8)
On our drive home yesterday, we saw these guys. 10 of them in all. 2 with antlers. Hello somewhat-rural living.
Out to Thanksgiving Point to see the Holiday Lights. With our dogs--Ozzy and Harriet. (PS: And Ozzy was named Ozzy before the game.)
It's a really incredible light display. You can even wear 3D glasses.
The best part was this ice sculpture that a local artist made.
More lights.
And that's what life is like for us right now ... Christmas, Birthdays, and Survivor.
