Weekend To Do List (Yes, I'm still making lists)

1. BREATH.

2. SMILE.

3. Tackle laundry.
(I think I may not be "cleaning" our laundry. Time to brush up on laundry tips. Everything seems dull after I wash and fold it. Ugh.)

4. Have hot chocolate with fam.
(Haven't had it in a long time, but I love it. Yes, I just said I love food. I love my fam, too, so it's a win-win for me: two things I love.)

5. Eat baked potatoes. A lot.
(I bought this King of Spuds 50lb bag from a farm(er) for $20.00--and I'm telling you, it is the best 20 I've ever spent. The potatoes are HUGE and so dang good. When you pull them from the bag to cook, they look like they just came out of the ground. Dirt everywhere. I love it! PS: I've eaten a baked potato everyday for the last 8. I'm all about balance.)

From Real Simple--trying this today.

6. Tidy the house.
(I don't like to do a lot of cleaning on the weekend. It makes me dislike the weekend. So, I try to do it during the week instead.)

7. Figure out the source of Oz-Dog's pain.
("He's lived with us over 8 years," Dave said, "so why can't he just tell us what's wrong?")

8. Rock out to the kids' ipods.
(Our new favorite thing is to hook up their music selections to our home stereo--you have not lived until you've heard Willow Smith's "I Whip My Hair," played REALLY loudly . . .  60 times in a row.)

9. Watch the second night of American Idol.
(We've been trying not to watch TV during the school week. So, we basically overdue it on the weekend. LOL!)

10. See how many electronics Jay can add to his room.
(To date: He's added surround sound, extra lighting, and connected Jr's DS to the surround sound. You haven't lived until you've heard The Harry Potter DS Game in THX. PS: Yes, "You haven't lived until . . . " is my phrase for the weekend.)

11. Prepare a lesson for church.
(I get to teach LuLu's class. Yay!)

12. Go on a date with Dave.
(Dave's newer job does give us way more time together--he's home by 1 on most days. BUT, now that we're homeschooling the kids, we spend most of our together time with the kiddos, too. SO, we're trying to make sure we spend some time each week NOT with the kids. LOL! Last week we went to Indian food--thanks Jeff/Janae for referral--and it was HOT. Holy cow! We went on Sat. and my lips stopped burning on Wed.! LOL!)

13. Prep for work. Prep for school.

14. Read.
(Ideas: Crazy Sexy Diet; Hangman's Daughter; Being Peace; Recipe Books)

15. Grocery shop.
