Still Full

J was our photographer this year.
I am biased, but I think he may have a hidden talent there. Who knew?

Can I just say how much I love The Pioneer Woman!

We have used so many of her recipes throughout the year. And yesterday we made her Roasted/Brined turkey, and for the second year in a row it was SOOOOOOOOOOO good! (Like perfect.)

PS: We let it cook to 170.

We had a mini-blizzard Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
It made the holiday so fun. I love snow on Thanksgiving!
(Talk to me in May . . . won't be sayin' I love snow.)

I would wear this apron as a dress--I love it that much. (Thanks, Heather.)

Turkey #1 = 20lbs. Turkey #2 = 135lbs.
(Yes, I wrote that myself.)

Oz-Dog, age 8 or 9. He won't tell us.

My 2011 family theme.
(PS: Whitt--see your ribbon?)

Our next door neighbor, Toto, ate over. His family was in California.

7 out of 8 members of our family do not eat olives. How can that be?

Our Thanksgiving table.
(That's me walking in the background--I used our neighbor's oven. She is SO nice. )

Thank goodness for LuLu and Jr--because they eat yams.
(Yams are in the olive category for Dave.)

We ate a little later than usual this year and I liked it so much. More low-key. Less stress for some reason.

Dave made the gravy.

J and Dave.
(And a purple towel which is bugging the carp out of me. Yes, CARP. As in fish.)

ZuZu (who is battling the flu).

I used tin foil as my holiday-table theme this year. I think the tin foil compliments the china.

LuLu (also battling the flu).

Jr--he ate a platefull of cranberries and kept saying, "it's sour!"
I think he thought it was jello. Eeek!
(PS: Jr. also battling the flu. Half the group literally ate T-Dinner in their PJs.)

I didn't make the holiday pies. Doh! (I know, I'm dying too!)

I could eat this morning, noon and night.
But that would mean I would have to go to the gym morning, noon and night.
I'll pass on that.

21 Thanksgivings together.
I feel really thankful for that.

PS: Hay, you still readin' this?

LOL!
Just putting out this little note--I took the music off of my blog. As much as I love it, it was starting to drive me nuts to have the pages load without me realizing how loud the volume was up on my laptop. So, I figured that has to happen for other people too. Seems like it's better to just listen to my playlist on ProjectPlaylist.com when I want to hear music.

PPS: I reserve the right to change my mind about this decision. Tee hee.
