A Girl and Her Camera

I broke down and bought a camera this weekend.

I know, I said I was going to wait . . .

but then we went to the Pumpkin Patch.

THE Pumpkin Patch! My favorite family tradition.

Well, actually it's tied with having Thanksgiving Dinner together, but my point!

I had NO WAY TO RECORD our Pumpkin Patch memories.

I was dying. We may as well not have gone. Really. That's how I felt. I just kept thinking, "Normally, we'd have a photo on this haystack. Normally, I'd take a photo of ZuZu and LuLu in the corn maze. And NORMALLY, I'd have a photo of Jonah wheeling 200lbs of pumpkins around the patch."

But NOT this year. No! I had to go and sit on my camera! I want my mommy! (Yes, that's The Pioneer Woman's line, but I love it.)

Anyhow, I was dying!

So I came home, ripped out my Costco coupons, and low and behold:

they had a coupon for a camera!

(PS: The coupon thing annoys me--why do I need a coupon to get a deal? Give me the dam# deal, people. Save paper. Save postage. Save my time. Give me the deal!).

So, my point!

I replaced my Elph camera. (Which, BTW, my mom and dad lovingly bought me when I sat on my last Elph camera. Yes, I'm on my 3rd Elph camera. One day when I grow up I'm going to buy a Big Girl Camera.)

And while I know you shouldn't love objects, just people, I can honestly say, I LOVE HAVING MY CAMERA again! I love it. Love it. Love it!

I feel like I'm back on the grid.

And here are my first photos . . . post Pumpkin Patch (and you better believe we're going back to that Pumpkin Patch to relive the 2010 experience):

I love you Acorn Squash. You are so colorful and shapely.

ZuZu with straight hair.
PS: That hair doesn't straighten itself. Ask ZuZu and I about that.

Neighbors (I think?) "Boo'd" us Sunday night.
It's like Ding-Dong-Ditching, only it's kind and there's a treat! Thank you Boo-Fairies.

Jay, ZuZu, and LuLu.

Chelene's CAT! Well, I think it's Jeff's cat now, but anyway.
The cat lived on Hysteria Lane for its first 6 lives.
We haven't seen him/her for a year . . .  then it shows up at 2am for four days in a row . . . Twilight Zone.
PS: Yes, I know the difference between a boy and girl feline--but this cat is a boy named Bella. I'm so confused.
