Image
Kindra and ME! A t last night's Survivor viewing party. (She's one of my favorite people on the planet. Truly. No matter where I am in life, I hope to always always have Kindra as a part of it.) Last week we were able to watch Survivor with our family in California . And it was awesome! And last night we were able to watch with our family and friends her e in Utah . And it was aw esome! (T hank you so mu ch for hosting us, Janet! ) A nd I'm happy to say ...   I've survived another week in the Caramoan (thanks to my tribe's winning streak --woo hoo!) ! Here are a few quick pics of our viewing party here in SLC, Utah . Episode 3 viewing party, Salt Lake City, Utah. Episode 3 viewing party: The Kids' Couch. Everyone brought snacks for the viewing, so I brought my favorite: bread. Did you watch last night's ep isode? What did you think? I know I was vi rtual ly sil ent in last night's e pisode, but to be hon

Technical Difficulties ...

This week's Immunity and Reward challenge. Survivor Caramoan. (c) CBS, Monty Brinton, 2012. I can't wait for Survivor this week! Well, to be honest, I can't wait for Survivor EVERY week. But, my point! We're in the water for this week's Immunity and Rew ard Challenge and it's awesome! I can't wait to see the footage --because it really was one of my favorite challenges ( one that required us all to swim and work as a team). In other news, my email accounts were hacked this past week ; s omeone created a fake twitter account that's called "I mDawnMeehan "; AND, b ecause I can't get into my email, I can't renew my GoDaddy regis tration for my domain name for my blog. So, my blog is on "critical alert" as far as the address goes. Good times! So, thank you to the 3 of you that found my alternate URL for the blog! You r emails helped me know I was in trouble in River City. (I love the Music Man. Don&#

My Dad's Bday. A Trip to Cali. And Survivor!

Camilla flower. As I sit and type this morning, the snow is falling here in Utah. It's h ard to believe that just yesterday we were in sunny California. We'd gone to celebrate my dad's 61st birthday (yes, I have young parents) and "do" Survivor stuff. It was a great trip. I hadn't been "on the road" since summer and the game, and I had forgotten how good it feels to have a change of scenery. I think it's good for your marbles. No? Here are some of the pictures we took on our trip. We were able to hike, visit, eat a lot of good food, see family, and of course, talk Survivor. Did you see Episode 2? Woo! That was a rough night.   What we saw on television was only the introduction to the outburst Cochran, Brandon, and I experienced. (Brandon has since apologized, PS.) Survivor is such a stressful game. I think as I watch from home even I forget that. I mean, we are hungry, HOT, tired, thirsty, dirty ... and playing a game with a

What A Week!

Celebrating Valentine's Day. This was a crazy-fun week. (Maybe a little heavy on the crazy.) But fi rst and for emost, guess who got engaged yesterday? Whitney and Keith fro m Survivor South Pacific ! Is that the sweetest thing ever ? ( Y e s!) . They fe ll in love on the island during Survivor South Pacific , and have been to g e the r ever since. It's really incredible. And here's her ring. Isn't it beautiful? (PS: I've asked if I can be the f lower girl. Stay tuned. Ha !) We are so happy for them ! Our family loves Ms. Whit and Keith! Ms. Whitney Duncan's engagement ring (soon to be Whitney Tollefson!).   Whitney Duncan, (c) CBS, 2011. Second, our guinea pig, Amelia Valentine Pond (named for Dr. Who) cele brated her bday yesterday. And our kids SPOILED her . They made her cake out of ruffage, guinea pig pellets, and water. She loved it, but it looked like Vegemite!   Then, our oldest daugh ter h ad a

Survivor Caramoan TONIGHT!

ME! At Bikal camp, in the water. See, it's low tide. Those rocks behind me aren't always so exposed. I'm guessing it's 100 degrees plus on this day. (Guessing, because I didn't have my CELLPHONE to check the temp. Ha!) (c) CBS, Monty Brinton, 2012. Since we were able to adopt ou r kids, I'm not really familiar with waiting 9 months for a baby to be born. But if waiting for Survivor Caramoan to air is anything l ike that wait , I can't imagine! Wooooo. I am so glad it's finally here! (We played the game in the summer of 2012.) Tonight 's the big night : the premiere ! (Psst: I s this so nutty? I applied for Season 2. Now I'm ON Season 26!) I can't wait. I mean it. I literally cannot wait for tonight!   Like most people, I am seeing this episode for the first time. I haven't seen an ything other than commercials. Well, and these fun clips CBS posted yesterday. I hope you'll watch -- e ven if you are rooting fo

It's Friday, Friday, Friday!

I'm so glad it's Friday ! That means we're only DAYS away from Valentine's Day AND the premiere of Survivor Caramoan (Wed. on CBS). I think it's going to be the best week ever . Do you have any fun plans this weekend? Me ? No ne. And I love that. Just wide open calendar space. Ahhhhhhhhh! **** PS: Here are some of the press photos from episode 1 of S26. I should mention , we played in the Philippines and it was beautiful (and hot ! ). PPS: All photos are (c) CBS, 2012 , Monty Brinton .   Me. Bikal Tribe (Favorites--returning players).
